Announcing The STEAM Lab Virtual Summer Camp for Primary and Lower Elementary Students!

Updated: July 6, 2020

The STEAM Lab Virtual Summer Camp is an interactive, highly engaging, project-based summer camp in a kit that carries students through the S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) umbrella, all while exploring various weekly themes.  This summer, our themes include: All Things Weather!, What’s in Your Backyard – A Lesson in Ecology, Kitchen Talk!, and Upcycling: One Man’s Trash is Another Man’s Treasure.

Pre-prepped kits with easy to follow instructions, a letter to the parents, and a daily guide, will be provided to campers the week prior, allowing for ample time for families to prepare.  Once students are logged into our daily zoom, we will have their full attention for the hour.  Afterwards, students will have several activities to continue their learning either independently or alongside a sibling or parents.  With each activity, additional resources will be provided should a student desire to dive deeper into research and learning.

The STEAM Lab Team is very enthusiastically engaged in creating an outstanding product that is sure to deliver an opportunity for students to re-ignite their love for learning, shake off those summer cobwebs, and re-connect to the St. Stephen’s family.  Also, since we know that this is an unprecedented experience, we are offering a complimentary Monday, in the event that you are unsure if it will be the right fit for you or your family.

The STEAM Lab Team is led by Ms. Meredith, the Middle Years mathematics and science teacher, with the entertaining and enriching support of Mr. Devin and Mr. Darius
